This rare rock tea, yancha in Chinese, is obtained through a very peculiar process: its leaves are delicately coal-baked in bamboo containers, which add a special smoky aftertaste that lingers in the palate and in the cup; together with its natural rocky aroma, and warm hints of ripe yellow fruits.

As its Chinese name suggests, the infusion has a golden liquor that shines of bright hues, and the leaves open in the hot water like a blooming peony.
