January 22nd to February 9th, Xishuangbanna
China is reopening the borders, and we are quietly observing the evolution of the process to offer everyone the best welcoming possible. We are a small structure managed by a passionate yet tiny team, and if you are interested we kindly ask you to join our survey letting us know you favorite travelling season, length of stay in Yunnan and China, and aim of the trip, it will be so useful to better organise our resources. Thanks!
Xishuangbanna is enjoyable all year-long, with a very mild sub-tropical climate that express itself in a moltitude of colors.
The rain in October starts to diminish until a dry January; the temperature are mild, with fresh nights (13-18°C) and warm days (19-25 °C).
Ideal for any kind of visit, at all altitude.
February and March are the dryest months, and between mid-March and mid-April the tea season is at its peak: expect hotter days (max 30-33°C in Jinghong, 28°C in the mountain) and a dry weather, until the first rains arrives between late March and April.
The rainy season with its ever-changing skies, hues, and fragrances.
The new tea has been pressed and it is ready to be tasted and purchased.
Choose it if you like to feel the tropical fragrance on banana leaves, and you are ready to relax listening to the sound of the rain.
Learn with your senses
We propose all the ranges of our courses on-site, both in our Xishaungbanna tea-room and workshop and in our tea-forest.
Being physically surrounded by the smell of soil and trees, being able to taste the fresh leaves, to touch them, and to live with the people involved in their production will make your study more intense and unforgettable.
We welcome long-term visitors either for study, professional enhancements, or co-operations. Xishuangbanna is an ideal base to live and breath tea culture at every hour of the day; every road brings you to a tea mountain, and every conversation will leave you with new ideas and inspirations.
