A conversation between China and Japan, a travel in flavors through the history of tea following the path of Eisai and the many travellers that crossed the East China Sea with precious seeds, ancient books, tea practice, and dreams.
Our Vivian Zhang will start with hints of ancient tea history and the splendid Song Dynasty, with the steam-based technique of two green teas: the Enshiyulu and a personal selection of Yunnan green tea, available for this event only.
Mrs. Nicoletta Tul will take us to Japan with two excellent teas that have absorbed the best of their in-land Chinese and Korean influences, becoming a Japanese excellence: an Asanoka Sencha, lightly steamed, and an Ureshino Kamairicha, a wok-based technique.
This is the first of a series of tea-tastings that crosses the cultural boundaries and bring us to think about the origin of our beloved leaves; it is a narrative of stories and techniques, of flavors, ideas, and cultural exchange: it is open to anyone who wants to join our tea table, and brew with us.
Moreover, on June 28th don't miss "Dance of Fragrances", our online tasting events dedicated to Dacong teas.
