High-grade Yixing clay teapot in Qingshui burnt umber clay, fully handcrafted with experience and passion by artist Xu Jianping. Each of his teapots has its own personality, which will improve over the years it will spend with you, brew after brew.

This unique color and texture, close to metal, is given by a special technique called 捂灰 Wǔ huī, "to cover in ashes". Zisha, the purple clay used to make yixing teapots, is rich in iron: the principle of Wǔ huī is to cover the pot in ashes, and thus start a chemical oxidation which makes the red clay turn black. The redder the clay, the richer the iron content, and the darker the final result. The filter is composed of the traditional 7 holes, that ensure the best quality brew, and the purest liquor.

The famous Shuiping 水平, "horizontal" shape was particularly appreciated in Ming dynasty, and it is still loved today for its comfortable brewing and precise spilling.

The teapot capacity is 80 ml (3.4 oz), and it comes with the artist's signed certificate.
