2023 Pu'er Shengpu, Wild Forest Stone-pressed cake
Harvest 2023 is possibly one of our most fragrant productions so far, and this stone-pressed cake from our wild forest in Nannuo mountain is the best example of the complex ecosystem of our land, where tea trees live together with fruit trees, always shaded by their canopy.
This drier season translates into a great sweetness, made even more special by the difficult handling of a raw material with lower moisture content.
After travelling overseas and resting for a few days, these young leaves developed a surprising maturity of flavours, that reveals the youth of the harvest only in the aftertaste, when a fresh hue of buds fills the palate.
This cake has a surprising qi, unexpected in young wild forest tea leaves, and promises a great evolution of flavours and the sweetest maturity in future years.

Origin: Nannuo Mountain, Xishuangbanna, Southwest Yunnan
Production date: 26 March 2023. Farmed, harvested and processed by Eastern Leaves
Storage: the leaves can be stored in their original package or in ceramic vases. Avoid heat, light, and moisture.
Infusion Parameters
EASTERN BREWING
Quantity: 1 gr. of tea every 30 ml of water
Rinse: before starting the infusion, rinse the leaves with a very fast washing in order to let them rehydrate and release a more intense brew. Gently cover the leaves with boiling water and pour it after a few seconds.
Brewing time: Begin with a 10-15 second brew. Increase with each successive brew as needed.
Water temperature: 100° C
Number of brews: 10-12
WESTERN BREWING
Quantity: 1 gr. of tea every 100 ml of water
Brewing time: 2-3 minutes
Water temperature: 100° C
COLD BREW
Quantity: 1 gr. of tea every 100 ml of water
Brewing: put the tea leaves in room temperature water and steep for 6-7 hours. Filter the liquor and drink within 24 hours.

For European countries there is no custom-clearance procedure; for all the other shipments we accompany the package with all the necessary papers to ensure the fastest process possible.

Within the European Union the shipping time is between 1-5 days, while for Extra-UE shipment the delivery time varies between 5 and 12 days. Orders are shipped on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: for special requests, please add a note to your order, we will endeavor to fulfill them.
In Italy we ship through BRT. In Europe and US we ship through DHL Express courier or UPS; For shipments in Italy, you can select a BRT point where to collect your package, for shipments Europe you can choose a UPS point, and for the US you can choose a DHL service point. In Asia we use EMS.

It is a sheng that belongs rather to the sweet ones. If you follow the dosage recommendation, it remains fairly constant over many infusions ... probably a good tea for beginners, it forgives even a few seconds longer brewing time. Personally, I like bitterness, more depth in Sheng more. So this one is not my favourite, but still good.
What a sensation! Wonderfull full flavour, changes over steeping and the qi/ energie of this tea, loving it! I am ordering more :)

Our tea production
This tea comes from the tea forest we own in Yunnan, in Nannuo and Lunan/Pasha mountain.
We take care of each leg of the production: from the care of the under-forest until package and distribution.
Generations of masters
Our production is entirely supervised by Yan Kunli, that was born and raised on Nannuo mountain, and in 2007 won the Pu'er Shengpu producer competition for the highest Shaqing skills, among all the Hani minority in Yunnan.
He is the master in his craft, and we are proud to have him with us.
