Every new harvest adds a lively vegetal freshness to Sheng Pu'er tea, which in 2024, the driest season yet, translates into a rich fruity taste.
This Shengpu from our wild forest tea trees on Nannuo mountain is the best example of the complex ecosystem of our land, where tea trees coexist with fruit trees, always shaded by their canopy. In the mouth, we get the sweetness of tropical fruits and berry jam, accentuated by a hint of umami, and rejuvenated in the aftertaste by a fresh citrucy sensation reminiscent of lemongrass. The last brews release a soft hue of soy beans, while a light sweetness of nectar, peach, and honeysuckle lingers in the aftertaste. Smooth, delicate, and persistent, full of the vibrant life of forest Spring.
The dry season that characterized this harvest translates into a great sweetness, made even more special by the difficult handling of a raw material with lower moisture content.
This Sheng Pu'er promises a great evolution of flavours and the sweetest maturity in future years.
