Yixing clay has natural properties that make it the most precious material for brewing tea: its raw clay is a natural wonder, and the expertise that evolved generation after generation of masters perfected it, resulting in an unrivalled work of art with distinct physical characteristics.

We often choose a Yixing pot based on its beauty, shape, or clay colour. However, what enhances our tea is the perfect match between the pot and our favourite tea, and only study and experience can lead us down this delightful learning path.

The beauty of each Yixing teapot is determined by six factors: clay, which is the foundation of our pot; the style, such as its decorations and inscriptions; the technique of the master who made it; the shape, which is rooted in Yixing history; the authenticity level and importance of the master who made it, which can ensure its value through generations.

During this event, we will learn about the history, evolution, and most important shapes of Yixing clay, as well as how to choose the best pot for our favourite tea, transforming our tea-brewing experience into a personal emotion.

We will bring our favourite pieces from our frequent trips to Yixing, along with the experiences and words of the masters who created them. The best new teapots from our Masters will be presented exclusively to the participants of this event. After the event, all the new teapots will be available for purchase in our tearoom. 

This event will take place on Saturday October 12th at 2pm hosted by our founders Vivian and Lorenzo in our tearoom in Milan. Seats are limited: we suggest to book your seat soon to avoid missing your chance.
