Bulang 布朗, the fourth and last chapter of our first Eastern Tea Club, takes us on an exciting final tasting journey: home to the King of Pu’er tea, with famous villages like Laobanzhang and Laoman’e, this area got its royal title in more recent times. Ancient emperors were not aware that on the other side of the seemingly uncrossable Mekong river, a gem was hidden in wild lands, where ethnic minorities preserved its secret until our times, and worshipped its tea trees as a sacred entity.
Bulang is now known for its typical initial bitterness, its impressive qi 气 - the vital force of tea that shakes up the body - and it is praised for its long-lasting sweet aftertaste and unmatched complexity of flavors.
During this journey, we will taste 7 Sheng Pu’er and 2 Shu Pu'er teas (15 g each) from 8 different villages that will express all the unique sides of Bulang:

As you receive your tea samples, you will find a welcome letter with links to extensive content on the ancient and modern history of the area, geography and culture. You will then have access to a reserved community chat area where we continue to upload new contents, and you can share your own tasting notes, observations, and travel stories.
You will also have access to the informative material and the recording of the online webinar, where we explored each village, and shared direct experiences of our trips on site.
Each chapter of our tea club will be available on our shop until the end of the first season, or until stocks last.

An online webinar of the duration of one hour is now available for streaming in our community upon the purchase of this chapter. During the webinar we taste some of the samples together and tell you more about each village, sharing experiences and tasting notes.
