Special edition cake, with the stamps of all the towns that were originally a stop of the ancient tea-horse road.

This cake celebrates the essence of pu’er shupu in either it most famous terroir, and the proficient processing technique. It gathers a blend of the most important Xishuangbanna mountains post-fermented in the heart of Menghai and packed in a special wrapping paper stamped by all the original stops of the ancient tea horse road.

It is a celebration of the route that made Pu’er tea became widespread and well known in many countries, receiving the appreciation and esteem of many tea enthusiasts.

The richness of color and the full, earthy aroma of its liquor is unique among many teas. In addition, the fermentation underway since 2006 adds a special sweet aftertaste to the infusion, and a mellow and long-lasting fragrance of forest soil and ripe ferns. Finally, as all Pu’er lovers know, its taste changes over time, and here lies its charm.

Now, by tasting this precious tea, one can still feel the aroma of the earth crossed by ancient caravans, and the sweet mellowness of the scorching sun.

A chiefly hedonistic experience for the gentle palate of the tea aficionado. I do not mean to diminish its complexity, nor the quality of its material and processing. These elements simply contribute to creating a balanced unicum that is “more than their sum” and can be enjoyed with ease. Liquid hugs for recovering from a stressful day.

A precious rarity tea

The Tea Horse Road 2006 is a jewel between all the shu (cooked) puerh teas.
It displays an unique flavour profile, with notes of sweet prunes, aged wood libraries, antique leather, milk biscuits. At every sip, this tea brings you to the ancient tea road together with horses and men that made it legendary. I absolutely recommend getting this tea as a precious treasure for you.
