Practice and technique of Gongfucha: it is about our tea practice and life, our relationship with tea, with our guests, and with our own culture.

Tea preparation and ceremony was the first specialisation of Vivian, more than 15 years ago - even before falling in love with our tea forest in Nannuo mountain -, and during this workshop she will prepare tea with us, teaching what she has learnt during these years of practice.

She will teach about tools, teaware and how to display the tea table according to cultural, aesthetical and practical needs. 
We will study the brewing technique, and how it changes according to the tea: we brew tea to extract the best possible taste from the marvellous work of nature, therefore we adapt ourselves and we learn how to choose the proper technique and teaware to respect and enjoy each tea.

We use both gaiwan and teapot; we talk about materials, tools and water, to fine tune our own personal experience with tea.

Furthermore, Vivian will bring us one of the very last high-quality trends in China, that is a modern approach to the Song dynasty style tea: we will brew and taste these precious powders of Red and White tea, experiencing history and contemporaneity of Chinese tea.

During the two hours of the workshop each participant will practice together with the teacher, brewing and tasting each tea while learning every step.

This masterclass will take place on Saturday October 19th at 2pm hosted by our founders Vivian and Lorenzo in our tearoom in Milan. Seats are limited: we suggest to book your seat soon to avoid missing your chance.
