History and Benefits of White Tea through Yunnan and Fujian.

White tea is one of the most rare, and often overlooked tea categories. Its seemingly simple processing method and delicate taste appear essential and plain, but there's actually more to what meets the eye. 
The medicinal benefits of white tea helped it spread across China since its creation in the late 18th century, and it slowly gave it prestige, leading it to become one of the most precious tea categories. 

During this masterclass we will taste four types of white tea:

• 2024 Baihaoyinzhen 白毫银针, the first white tea ever created, and one of the most famous worldwide, made of only the most precious first buds;
• Aged 2012 Shoumei 寿眉, a mellow harvest and a true treasure full of the rich and complex flavor of the aging process;
• 2024 Ancient Trees Yueguangbai 古树月光白, our last production from our centuries-old trees in Lunan mountain, characterised by a dry harvest and a juicy flavor of tropical fruits;
• Tangerine Shoumei 陈皮寿眉, fragrant mini-cakes rich in natural benefits ideal for the cold season.

The tasting will be hosted by Vivian Zhang, Eastern Leaves co-founder and tea farmer, exclusively for Prague Tea Festival participants.
