Excellent young sheng

There are lots of bold, assertive, even unpleasant young sheng pu'ers which I've tried. This isn't one of them. The ancient tree leaves, combined with excellent terroir and lovely processing, here produce a young sheng (I have 2025) with lots of complexity: purple iris, sweet squash, honey, with hints of citrus and forest, which taste great now, and will continue to improve with age. Long-lasting hui gan and good cha qui. I bought two cakes, one to enjoy now and one to age. To accentuate the sweetness of this cake, I brewed at 90-95C. Highly recommended!

Dear David, thank you for your thoughtful review and for sharing the lovely photo of your tea moment. We are so pleased to see the tea in your setup and to read your precise impressions. Your understanding of the processing and the aging potential means a lot to us. We greatly appreciate your high recommendation and look forward to following your tea journey.
