Box-set of pu'er shengpu blend in the making: Guanzizai, Observation
Observation is the first step to master the art of blending: an expert blender is aware of the slightest notes of flavor that identify a single production area, and is able to transcend the different features of multiple mountains to create a unique new harmony.
The present bundle explains this delicate and entertaining process by comparing the Guanzizai blend with the single-origin leaves it is made of:
- Mangfei 忙肺, from Lincang area: sweet and smooth, it can be recognized by the pleasant mellowness and round mouthfeel.
- Mannuo 曼糯, from Xishuangbanna: thick, fruity, and slightly tannic, it is a more intense pu'er, used as starting point for the blended cake.
- Zhenkang 镇康, from Lincang area: delicate, vegetal, and persistent, its fragrance is what makes us crave for multiple infusions.
The bundle contains one full 100 gr. Guanzizai cake, and 3 samples of 20 gr. each of the single-origin loose leaf teas, for a total of 160 gr. of tea.
