The fresh leaves of this Yueguangbai white tea were delicately picked from the Nannuo mountain-wild forest side of our land, harvested during the first week of May 2017, and pressed at the end of August 2017. The infusion releases a surprising sweetness, and a subtle underwood aroma that is typical of the wild forest tea trees, enriched by the mellow notes of the natural fermentation process which has been going on for three years. 

The delicate leaves are darker than other harvests, yet a light silver shade emerges, indicating the presence of pure white buds, that give this tea a peculiar light flavour, and a great delicacy. They were pressed by stone, to guarantee the best leaf quality both now and in the years to come. The pressed format is the best way to ensure a perfect conservation over the years, and the beautiful bamboo tong is an affordable alternative for storing a bigger quantity of this rare and special white tea.

Harvested by hand in May 2017

Plantation altitude: 1800 meters
Origin: Southwest Yunnan, Nannuo Mountain
Flush: First week of May 2017
Storage: the leaves can be stored in their original package or in ceramic vases. Avoid heat, light, and moisture.

Infusion Parameters

EASTERN BREWING
Quantity: 
1 gr. of tea every 30 ml of water
Rinse: before starting the infusion, rinse the leaves with a very fast washing in order to let them rehydrate and release a more intense brew. Gently cover the leaves with warm water and pour it after a few seconds.
Brewing time: Begin with a 40-second brew. Increase with each successive brew as needed. 
Water temperature: 85° C
Number of brews: 10


WESTERN BREWING
Quantity: 1 gr. of tea every 100 ml of water
Brewing time: 4 minutes
Water temperature: 85° C

COLD BREW
Quantity: 1 gr. of tea every 100 ml of water
Brewing: put the tea leaves in room temperature water and steep for 7-8 hours. Filter the liquor and drink within 24 hours.

Amazing Yueguangbai

Aging has given a deeper taste to this tea. Its usual notes are now enriched with scents of forest. Definitely one of my favourites!
