The pervading yet subtle fragrance of incense has a history that dates back to the earliest Chinese dynasties. It passed through the hands of shamans, monks, literati, and emperors, until this invisible chain reached modern times.

The link between incense and tea was never lost, though it evolved, and acquired new meaning. Burning incense while brewing tea is not just a meditative act, but also allows all senses to properly focus on tea appreciation, bringing us closer to a tea practice that took shape as early as Tang and Song dynasties.

This course is intended for all those who wish to learn how to integrate incense into their daily tea drinking, and for those who wish to dig deeper into the secluded knowledge of ancient traditional incense making in China.
