An amazing tea with a whole ecosystem of taste

Another wonderfull tea from Eastern leaves. Great quality, very flavorfull.

Orderd a cake of it a year ago and it still i smy go to sheng puerh for when i want something smooth and soothing. It is very forgiving when it comes to brewing which make sit ideal to drink when reading or watching a movie. What is left now is to order the 2023 version to be able to compare.

I tend to be picky and critical about the quality of my shengs. But this cake leaves nothing but satisfaction in every regard. Nicely compressed cake with a uniform quality of the material. The profile of the tea is super clear and pronounced. Classical menghai Character with a nice variation compared to other Mountains. The animal/leathery/ underforrest aroma has a nice floral/ flowery/jingmaiish counterpart in this cake without beeing to high pitched. The mouthfeel is on the softer Side but the aftertaste is really Present, clear and longlasting. Bitterness and astringency Form a wonderful bite which also makes the cake distinct in comparison to other menghai Mountains. Last but Not least the Qi in this tea is really strong, at the Border to overwhelming. A Standard Session leaves me quite buzzed and considering brewing the tea softer.
For the given quality of the cake the price is more than reasonable. Other vendors would Charge much more.

I really enjoyed drinking this tea. It has great complexity, floral-sweet notes. Due to its freshness, it is slightly astringent, but that's normal. What makes this tea exceptional is it's huigan and mouthfeel. Pasha(Lunan) is known to be strong in these categories. As an experienced drinker you can taste the similarities. Pasha is expensive but this tea is definitely worth it's price.

Very nice packaging! Loved the small info-card to each and every tea that was included in the box. It was such a great experience to get a taste of some of the high quality teas provided by Eastern Leaves. Would definitely recommend anyone to give it a try!

A cup that is simply enchanting to the touch, an almost primitive sensation when sipping tea, a work that fits in the palm of the hand and is capable of being the custodian of a territory, which seems to contain all the feeling of searching for nature and a dimension not merely aesthetic, but of an identity to which it is a pleasure to reunite with each infusion.

this tea is a beauty to see, with its elegant little leaves shaped like snails. a tea session with this tea is a journey through flavours: starting with red fruits, blueberries and dark chocolate of the first infusions and then going on with lychee, mandarin and more flowery notes of the next infusions. One of my favourite red teas.

A mouthful of white flower bouquet. Mellow buttery texture on the palate. Wet leaves exude intense honey sweetness. So incredible at such young age.

This set not only incorporates the "Four Gentlemen" theme in Chinese poetry, but is also well blended with different types of tea. Each box is a delightful tasting journey. After finishing the tea, cups in the shape of "four gentlemen" keep reminding oneself of the quality of a gentleman/woman 君子.

It has a beautiful gentle sweetness, airy. With a hint of luscious astringent taste like the skin of grapes.

this gaiwan is of surprising refinement. the tactile sensation almost brings back to the softness when you have it in your hands, you are one with the ceramic when you pour the liqueur, with the heat that dispersing warms the hands and the soul. the painting is natural, alive in its realistic brilliance, a pictorial reference to the peach season.

This TGY not only delivers on the promise of the predominant flavours of a light roast, but with each infusion it releases honeyed notes that remain vibrant even when the leaf is exhausted. Very good indeed!

this Fucha is a wonderful tea, already raw it is possible to see the numerous jinhua that are released in infusion in a warm, enveloping liqueur, where balsamic hints, medicinal herbs, ripe fruits and notes of undergrowth appear. the wet leaves are reminiscent of spices, light tobacco note, forest views and wild berries. a liquid postcard from Hunan.

This is by no means a light and dainty cup, but it is sturdy and beautiful and a wonderful addition to any session. I love the semi-matte finish.
